Specialized structured literacy therapy for children with dyslexia and language-based learning differences. Science-backed. Compassionate. One child at a time.
I'm Callie Ritter — a Neuhaus-trained academic language therapist candidate and library manager at St. Ambrose School in Houston. I work exclusively with children who struggle with reading, not because they aren't trying, but because their brains are wired differently.
Dyslexia is not a reflection of intelligence. Some of the most creative, curious minds I've met have it. What these children need is a specialist who understands the research, knows the structured literacy approach, and shows up consistently — session after session — until reading becomes something they can do.
That's what I do. In-person, at your child's school, on their turf.
All sessions are conducted in-person at your child's school using evidence-based Orton–Gillingham methods. Sessions are 60 minutes. Available Monday through Friday, 9 AM–3 PM.
Individualized, multisensory reading instruction using the Orton–Gillingham approach — the gold standard for dyslexia intervention. Each session is tailored to your child's exact needs and pace.
Before therapy begins, we conduct an informal assessment to understand your child's current reading level, patterns of difficulty, and strengths. This shapes every session that follows.
Quarterly written progress summaries tell you exactly where your child stands, what skills they've mastered, and what's next. You'll never wonder if it's working.
A 20-minute phone or Zoom call to understand your child's needs and answer your questions.
A short intake form and service agreement — all done online, no paperwork to mail.
We meet at your child's school. Baseline assessment included. Plan of care follows within 2 weeks.
Regular sessions, quarterly reports, and a therapist who communicates proactively.
These are common signs of dyslexia or language-based learning differences. They don't mean your child isn't smart — they mean your child needs a different approach.
Within three months our son went from dreading reading to actually picking up books on his own. Callie has a gift for making kids feel capable rather than behind.
She comes right to his school, which makes it so easy. And the quarterly reports are genuinely useful — I always know exactly where he stands and what's coming next.
Our daughter was two grade levels behind when she started. Callie's structured approach gave her the tools her school couldn't. Her confidence is completely transformed.
